Training and Development Guru Sam Splear will walk us through how to engage participants when the comatose reactions set in and your audience begins to fade. This Interactive discussion will teach us what types of questions to ask to re-engage our participants? Sam will tackle the important topic of how to jump start valuable conversation in the group to encourage learning retention and higher application back on the job.
Sam Splear worked for John Deere for 38+ years starting as a welder, and he moved up several times throughout his career. His first promotion included becoming a manufacturing supervisor, then to Supervisor of Training and Development at Harvester Works, and then to Manager of Training and Development for Corporate, and finally retiring as Manager of Performance Consulting in July 2011. He continues to occasionally speak for organizations providing humorous and/or inspirational presentations. He and his wife Lorraine recently moved to Geneseo, Illinois and spend time with both their children and "soon to be 7” grandchildren.
