TDMVC and the Great River Human Resource Association (GRHRA)
are pleased to host a joint session titled:
The Mentally Strong Leader
In dealing with the challenges of today's business climate have you ever struggled with maintaining a positive attitude, a level head or your confidence? If so, join us for this session on how to become a mentally strong leader while facing uncertainty.

Presented by:
Brenda Clark Hamilton, MA Ed.

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “We do not have to become heroes overnight.  Just a step at a time, meeting each thing that comes up, seeing it is not as dreadful as it appeared, discovering we have the strength to stare it down.”  In many of our ever-changing industries, today’s leaders are being asked to demonstrate steady fortitude in uncertain times.  This engaging session focuses on how leaders can become consistently mentally strong in order to face these challenges with a quiet confidence that says, “I can face whatever is thrown my way.”  Using compelling research and real-life examples, Brenda will provide participants with practical, take-home strategies for remaining positive, level-headed, and assured, i.e., truly the type of leader up to the task of leading their people through whatever the future holds.

Key Objectives:
  • Explore what The Tetris Effect can teach us about monitoring our thought processes
  • Learn how to gain mental strength through being your own Spam Blocker
  • Define four key identities (Remembered; Reflected; Programmed; Created), and learn which is most important for maximizing success and fulfillment in life

Brenda Clark Hamilton, MA Ed., is a dynamic keynote speaker who provides fresh perspectives in leadership, communication skills, customer service, team-building, and offering one's personal best to life and career.  Brenda launched her speaking business in 2005, by offering training to businesses in her northern Iowa community.  Since that time, she has become a nationally-recognized conference speaker and audience favorite, keynoting at hundreds of events in fourteen states.
