This program is designed to provide an educational program that would equip chapter members with the ability to identify training initiatives that will link to corporate objectives with models for measurement of the ROI. This workshop helps HR leaders and practitioners specifically review their own training initiatives and see how they and other participants will develop ROI approaches for their training initiatives.

Aligning Training to Corporate Objectives is an interactive 4-hour training course that:

  • presents an overview of the full range of an organization’s elective and compliance training initiatives;
  • introduces participants to corporate objectives from multiple organizations;
  • reviews the HR role as a catalyst in aligning training to the business objectives
  • reviews business cases and best practices for aligning training to corporate objectives
  • provides an overview of current ROI theory and application; and
  • develops metrics to measure the impact of training on the corporate objectives
  • with specific corporate objectives reviewed in class, teaches an approach that directly addresses identifiable corporate objectives with participants leaving with a meaningful action plan for implementation.

At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:

  1. Show their organization’s business leaders the financial impact of a training program
  2. Link the training program to the organization’s mission, vision, values, and strategic goals and objectives
  3. Serve as a business partner for linking future training needs to Corporate Objectives
  4. Readily demonstrate financial impact of a training program
  5. Develop a policy for future training initiatives
  6. Share the metric for ROI with the organization’s business leaders.

Doctor John A. Wojtecki, S.P.H.R., President of Wojtecki Enterprises, LLC., earned a Doctorate in Education from Capella University and has been a member of SHRM since 1981.
